Decent price and this does exactly what was advertised. I have this hooked up at work and just drop my laptop on it and press the power button. Keyboard, mouse, speakers and mouse all run thru the docking station while charging my laptop. As advertised!

Got one for the office and will now probably get one for home. I constantly go back and forth between my home office and work. I use multiple monitors and have many things to connect at each location. Now I come in, drop my laptop on the docking station and am good to go. I don't have to get under the desk to find those cords that have fallen so i can plug them in anymore.

Small and slim and working as described in the product description. Only comment that I have is the ports (like usb, audio, video) are so close together so even though there are many usb ports, you cannot really utilize them. Also, there were no expansion slots even for just 1 card. I like this one anyway ...

This docking station is not the least expensive option but I felt it was the best option. After having used it for a month I'm glad I made this choice.
It offers convenience with plenty of expansion ports for peripheral devices.

Good computer even better company, you must see for yourself. The replacement computer was up to specs, just like a new one straight out the box. I am now able to run my security system and programs without any lag. It is now a little over a month and this computer is still operating great.

I have a Dell Mini 10" laptop, and as it does work, the piece that plugs into the computer is too big for the hole, but it still charges, doesn't fall out, and it was a lot cheaper than the dell replacement, so I'd say it was still worth it, but irritating that it doesn't quite fit like it says it should.

This charger is somewhat bigger than the originally provided by DELL. It is appropriate if you use it in your base office, but if you carry it with you, it will use more room and weight than the DELL's charger.

Well, I got it less than 24 hours after it shipped. So far it's putting out exactly 19v at 1.62 amps. A little higher than rated on the amperage but high is way better than low right? So far after several hours of being plugged in it's running slightly higher than room temp (right around 75 degrees ambient).

The fit is (microscopically) off when plugged into an inspiron mini 1011 (10v). It fits snug, no play, kinda clicks into place just like the old one did; it's just right around 1mm longer, so you can see a little silver between the rubber jacket and the body of the laptop when it's plugged in. Again, not a big quibble, if it sockets nicely I'd prefer too long to too short, and the cost (11$ with next day shipping) more than offsets any minor gripes.

The only other thing of note is that you get right around 6' between the laptop and the nearest outlet, but the 110v section detaches and is pretty standard, so I replaced the one that came with it (a 3' two prong power cable) with a six footer that I had in my "box o' random cables".

Long story short, with the longer power cord installed on the adapter I'm very happy with the end result, if it malfunctions at some point in the next 6 months or so I'll report back.

It malfunctioned. Amperage dropped to .21-.90. Right at the threshold at which my laptop would periodically decide it was discharging instead of charging. Operating temperature also jumped dramatically. When I first started using it, it would get warm after several hours. Now it's HOT within 10 minutes of plugging the laptop in.

Considering I was under the gun, it was cheap and it shipped fast, I don't consider it a total loss. It got me through my emergency and worked for 2 weeks after. Still holds a charge on my machine, but is definitely failing. I am sending it back as soon as my more expensive, but big name, replacement shows up

Great HTPC, February 14, 2011

I bought this pc and installed win 7 on it and it runs great. Starts up quickly around 20-30 secs and I pretty much leave it on all the time. Wakes from sleep quickly as well. I also have to admit that this pc is very quiet. Dual core atom is quick and Nvidia ion is essential for HD content.

Overall I am very satisfied with this pc. Had I the option to buy it again I would probably have gotten the bare version and put a small SSD in it and just stream all of my content. Or another great option would have been to drop a 1tb hard drive in it and used it as a server.

My only dislikes are the location of the DC input and the bright blue power led, but that may be able to be disabled.

It took me a little tweaking to get this to actually function as a HTPC hub outputting at full 1080p. At first this thing was a big dissapointment, out of the box it was not playing many high def videos. After a little pouting I:

1. Updated all of the drivers
2. Installed media player classic
3. Added the processor-light CoreAVC to handle decoding in media player classic
4. Installed the Media Browser plug in for Windows Media Center
5. Set up windows media center / media browser to use media player classic as the engine
6. Added XBMC as an alternative media center
7. Uninstalled bloatware; and
8. Replaced the wireless card with a USB wireless adapter that included a 9dbi antenna.

I also added another 2GB stick of memory for $25, which I'm not sure was necessary. After all of those steps, I am now playing 1080p with ease and streaming full 1080p from the internet and my NAS without a hitch. Now that I have done it once, I could get this to run as desired in an hour or two. There are some very good guides on the interwebs for each of these steps. However, without knowing where to start getting everything to function properly took some effort, a fair amount of time googling and a bit of frustrartion. With the right software the Atom/ION combination works very well in a tiny energy efficient package, but it took some steps to get there. If you are looking for a pure plug and play ready device, you might want to consider going with a higher power machine in a bigger box. If you are willing to put a little bit of work into getting the system optimized (hopefully some of the steps above prove helpful), this is a good alternative to bigger or higher priced machines.
